Using the filters
Turn a knob by dragging around it, select a tick with a click, or use the arrow keys when the knob is focused. A planet must match every selected filter.
Temperature is estimated from the star’s temperature and size and the planet’s orbital distance, assuming that all incoming light is absorbed and heat spreads evenly around the planet. Surface and atmospheric temperatures can differ from this estimate. Size means physical diameter.
The host menu includes the spectral classes O, B, A, F, G, K and M, along with compact stars and brown dwarfs. Selecting a host class or diameter range hides planets without a published value for that property.
The archive contains 40 planets. The landscapes and interiors show possible conditions based on the linked research. Surface details, cloud patterns and globe colours are imagined, and layer sizes are approximate.
